The place
Malgrat de Mar and Santa Susanna are about 65 km from Barcelona, 45 km from Girona, 10 km from Lloret de Mar. You can admire the beautiful Spanish coast from the Costa Brava to the Costa Maresme: white sandy beaches, transparent and crystal clear waters; rocky seabed, cliffs and hills. Malgrat De Mar means Sea of exception for water quality and supply of hospitality. It is certainly the ideal place for those who want a young holiday, full of fun and light-heartedness, and for those who want to fully enjoy the holiday. There are many possibilities to live the long Spanish nights: discos, pubs, casinos and clubs where you can enjoy flamenco shows. Visit Malgrat De Mar, a famous seaside resort of the Costa Brava with long beaches and a lively center, which is located between Lloret de Mar and Calella. If the attractions (discos, nightclubs) were not enough, both cities are within a few kilometers.
And do not forget to visit the "Camp Nou" Stadium!
Accomodation
Teams are staying in holiday hotels and occasionally in apartments (according to country standards) along the Costa de Barcelona-Maresme – e.g. in Calella, Pineda de Mar, Santa Susanna, Malgrat de Mar; partially also in Blanes and Lloret de Mar – in rooms with three or four beds with shower/toilet. Adults, travelling with the teams, are accommodated in double rooms. Upon additional supplement you can book one single room every 20 persons or per team in case of a smaller group.
Board
You can expect full board (Spanish and international cuisine) where the first meal is dinner and the last meal are packed lunches (instead of lunch at the hotel). Usually the meals are served as buffet and for breakfast beverages such as coffee, tea and juice are included.
Transfer
Upon request, the KOMM MIT staff will be pleased to arrange for you the transfer airport-hotel-airport as well as your bus transfer during the tournament. In the event you arrive on your own, by private car, bus, train or airplane, please always consider that you have to be mobile on site.
Excursions
Besides the football pitches and the beaches, the region offers a lot of excursions and recreational activities: visit to Barcelona, the capital of Cataluña, the famous “Sagrada Familia”, the harbour, “Las Ramblas” and of course the stadium “Camp Nou” , which definitely is a highlight for everyone. The adventure parc “Activ Natura” invites you to be sportive and in Marineland animals are the stars.

[Barcelona](https://www.spain.info/en/destination/barcelona/), the capital of Catalonia, is a Mediterranean and cosmopolitan city with Roman remains, medieval quarters and the most beautiful examples of 20th century Modernism and avant-garde. It is no surprise that the emblematic constructions by the Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO.
The city's origins are Roman, and its long history and economic dynamism have made Barcelona a cultural city, which can be seen not only in the historic and artistic heritage but also through the promotion of innovative artistic trends. A wide cultural programme will take visitors to museums, exhibitions, open-air sculptures… and many concerts, plays and dances.
Also, popular culture has a presence in this city that does not forget its deeply-rooted traditions, such as the Mercè Festival, or the holiday celebrations in the districts of Gràcia, Sants, or Poblenou: they're all excellent opportunities to get to know the festive side of Barcelona.
Tradition and modernity have shaped its innovative and imaginative cuisine, which is based on organically grown produce, fresh fish, sausages and olive oil. Home-made pastries and sparkling wines will round off a merely superficial approach to Barcelona's culinary culture.
Strolling through the streets of Barcelona means being surprised step by step. Pedestrian streets in the old districts, green spaces, and a splendid waterfront filled with modern structures reflect the city's aim of integration. Barcelona has managed to enhance its past without forgetting its commitment to the future. The city has some extraordinary infrastructures that host seminars, symposiums and international competitions. Its exceptional communication network, its Mediterranean climate and a great number of tourist attractions make Barcelona an important business city. Business facilities, as well as conference and exhibition centres, can accommodate the widest variety of initiatives.
Visitors will enjoy Barcelona's Mediterranean character, which can be clearly felt on the Costa del Garraf as well as the Maresme coast. In addition, the city has beautiful urban beaches, marinas, and seafront golf courses. Nature lovers will not need to travel far to be able to hike through the hills that are part of the mountain ranges and the Catalan Pyrenees.
